Faster, more efficient, fully electric: With the new Elion 3200 CAP, Netstal brings high performance to beverage closure production. At Fakuma, this latest-generation machine impressively demonstrates what it’s capable of: It produces 72 HDPE closures with a diameter of 26 mm in a cycle time of just 1.8 seconds.
Performance that inspires
The Elion 3200 CAP combines a new 3,200 kN electric clamping unit with the 2000 electric injection unit. The optimized geometry of the toggle lever enables extremely short dry cycle times, while the improved force transmission increases the rigidity of the clamping platen. The result: high dynamics, stable processes, and maximum uptime with reduced energy consumption.
The electric injection unit achieves injection pressures of up to 2,400 bar. Synchronously controlled injection spindles and the force-dependent pressure switching – available exclusively from Netstal – ensure consistent shot weights and industry-leading precision even during the shortest cycles. Highly efficient servo drives and intelligent load distribution reduce energy consumption, costs, and CO₂ emissions with additional energy savings of up to five percent.

The latest generation of Elion
Netstal is systematically modernizing the modular Elion system. Electric clamping units with 1,200 and 1,750 kN, as well as the 270 and 530 electric injection units, are already available. New additions include clamping units with 3,200 and 4,200 kN, as well as the 2000 electric injection unit.
By summer 2027, the portfolio will be expanded to include a 2,200 kN clamping unit and the 940 electric injection unit. The proven hybrid injection units ranging from 450 to 4,200 will remain available. This allows the Elion, up to 4,200 kN, to be configured as either fully electric or hybrid to suit the application.

At Fakuma, the Elion 3200 CAP demonstrates its capabilities under real production conditions. The all-electric injection molding machine produces 26-mm beverage caps in 72 cavities. With a shot weight of 72 g, the machine achieves an exceptionally fast cycle time of 1.8 seconds.
