Netstal at the Plastindia, 1 - 6 february 2012
With an application from the field of thin-wall injection moulding Netstal underpins once again the high performance capacity of its perfectly established ELION moulding machine.
(Näfels, 3 January 2012) At the Plastindia 2012 in New Delhi (1 to 6 February 2012) the Swiss manufacturer of plastic injection moulding machines shows a thin-wall application and impressively demonstrates the high efficiency of the all-electric ELION range.
Fast-cycling thin-walled part moulded on the energy-saving ELION
Netstal exhibits an ELION 1750 machine moulding a thin-walled product to demonstrate the high efficiency of this fully electrically driven range of equipment. The moulded article is a drinking cup made at an impressive cycle of less than 3.3 seconds using a 4-cavity mould from the Swiss mould making specialist Glaroform.
"Our aim is to steadily reduce the production costs by achieving shortest possible cycle times, a low energy consumption and an optimized product weight", says Markus DalPian, Manager of Netstal's Business Unit PAC.
The cup is a packaging product made from a polystyrene of Total Petrochemicals. It is provided with a label while the injection moulding process is in progress, i.e. by IML (In-Mould-Labelling). A handling unit of the Swiss manufacturer Beck inserts the labels in the mould and subsequently removes the finished products. The Motan company of Germany supplies the plastic material feeding appliance and Messrs ef-cooling of Switzerland the cooling device.
The system on show at the Plastindia, i.e. the combination of machine, mould, automation and further periphery ready for production, is a typical example of Netstal's long experience in supplying comprehensive solutions on a turn-key basis.
