Netstal at the Plastpol in Kielce/Poland, 24 - 27 May 2011
This year again, Netstal, the Swiss manufacturer of injection moulding machines, exhibits at the plastics trade fair Plastpol in Kielce on the stand of its Polish representative MUEHSAM-ELEKTROMECH. The exhibit is a Netstal ELION, i.e. a model of a range which is perfectly established in the market. The application to be demonstrated comes from the area of thin-wall moulding and shows once more how powerful the machines of this all-electric range are.
Fast-cycling, thin-walled part moulded by the energy-saving ELION
The ELION 1750 at the fair produces a thin-walled part and reveals the high efficiency which characterizes these all-electric Netstal machines.
The product is a drinking cup moulded at an impressive cycle of less than 3.3 seconds in a 4-cavity mould made by the Swiss company Glaroform.
During the moulding process, the packaging part made from a polystyrene of Total Petrochemicals is provided with a label by using IML (In-Mould-Labelling). A handling device of the Swiss manufacturer Beck inserts the label in the mould and removes the finished parts. Messrs Moretto of Italy make the material feeding devices available, while cooling is in the care of M.T.A, also an Italian company.
The system presented at the Plastpol, i.e. the whole equipment ready for production consisting of moulding machine, mould, automation and further periphery, is a typical example of Netstal's experience in the supply of comprehensive solutions. The customer gets not only a highly productive injection moulding system, but also the necessary processing know-how which enables him to produce parts of impeccable quality right from the first production hour.
The processor benefits also from the ELION's low energy consumption. Braking energy is returned to the power circuit thanks to the recovery principle and then supplied to other consumers in the system. Efficiently applied, this permits to save up to 70% energy compared with conventional drive systems.
