Netstal at the MEDTEC in Stuttgart, 22.03. - 24.03.2011
Netstal, the well-known Swiss manufacturer of injection moulding machines, is also participating in this year's international trade fair MEDTEC in Stuttgart/Germany. On show will be Netstal's ELION model which is perfectly established in the market and convincing by its outstanding performance. With this all-electric range of machines Netstal submits once more proof of its high competence when it comes to medical mouldings.
ELION: Highest precision and energy savings with the ELION 1750
On the ELION 1750-530 at the fair Netstal demonstrates an application from the field of medical technology which is typical for this model range. Operating a 48-imp. mould of the Swiss mouldmaker Kebo, syringe-needle protectors of a polypropylene of Borealis are moulded at a cycle of just under 5.5 seconds. Raw material feeding is ensured by devices of Messrs Motan domiciled in Germany.
The all-electrically driven ELION machine is outstandingly suitable for use in the clean room. Thanks to features such as encapsulated and water-cooled electric motors an operation almost completely free of emissions is guaranteed. A further plus of this equipment for the processor is the low energy consumption. The applied recuperation principle means that braking energies are returned to the power circuit for supply to other users on the machine in question. Efficiently applied, this permits to save up to 70% of the energy consumption compared with conventional drive systems.
Recording of production data with the MES system Pilnject of bfa solution ltd
At the MEDTEC 2011 the machine data of the ELION 1750-530 are transmitted over the Euromap 15 interface to a PC server to be available on-line for further evaluations. This allows to collect data on e.g. production output, machine availability, reasons for disturbances, etc. It is also possible to obtain information on trends of measured physical variables.
In a qualitatively high-grade production environment the monitoring of compliance with production specifications has top priority. PilnjectTM permits this perfectly well and protocols any changes. With the functionality of data-record handling one can safely transfer data records from any PC to the moulding machine. Apart from this it is possible to save several versions of the data records. This functionality is certified for compliance with CF21, part11. The basic PilnjectTM system, moreover, can be expanded optionally with additional functions such as the maintenance module PiMaint or the order administration module PiJob.
