Netstal at the MEDTEC in Stuttgart, 23.03. - 25.03.2010
At the international trade fair MEDTEC in Stuttgart / Germany the Swiss machinery manufacturer Netstal-Maschinen AG presents its innovative and outstandingly performing ELION injection moulding machine. By demonstrating this all-electric range Netstal underpins once more its competence in the production of high-grade medical mouldings.
ELION: Highest precision and energy savings with ELION 500
On the exhibited ELION 500-60 Netstal shows a medical application which is typical for this machine range. Using a 20-cavity mould made by the Schöttli company of Switzerland, protective caps for needles of disposable syringes are moulded from a polypropylene of Borealis. This under clean-room conditions at a cycle of less than 4 seconds. Appliances of the German producer Motan take care of raw material feeding, while the temperature control units are from HB-Therm of Switzerland and the chiller from the gwk company domiciled in Germany.
Thanks to features such as encapsulated and water-cooled electric motors, the all-electric ELION machine is perfectly suitable for operation in the clean room. Nearly no emissions are guaranteed. Apart from this the processor benefits from the low energy consumption of the ELION. The applied recovery principle means that braking energies are returned to the power circuit to be supplied to further users. If efficiently deployed, up to 70% of the energy consumption can be saved in this way compared with conventional drive systems.
